In the last year I was using Mezzanine as CMS that is built using the Django Framework, it's clean and based on Twitter Bootstrap theme. For my needs it works, but for a reason that I don't remember I never got syntax highlighting working on it.
A whole new easy world
It all began when I started using Gitlab as repository and use
Markdown on a daily basis to write stuff on it. And I tought, how cool will be if could blog using
Markdown? Luck me there is already Octopress that solve my both issues
Markdown and syntax highlighting out of the box.
The installation was pretty easy and everything work out, disqus and Google Analytics support is native and now I can write my blog posts using vim. :)
The only problem so far is that I couldn't import the comments from
Mezzanine to disqus, sorry.
